Terms of use
These are the plain-language terms for using Answerline while it is in beta. By joining and using the service, you agree to what is below.
The beta
Answerline is a free beta. It is provided as it is, and it may change, pause, or end while we are still building it. We will do our best to keep the daily emails useful and running, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service during the beta.
Your account
- Sign up with an email address that is yours to use.
- Keep your access to your own inbox; your daily challenge and sign-in links go there.
- Use Answerline for your own quiz bowl training, not to disrupt the service for others.
Question content
The clues and answerlines in Answerline are sourced from the QBReader question corpus and remain the work of their respective authors and editors. Answerline presents them for personal, educational training. Please do not scrape, resell, or redistribute the questions or the training material.
Acceptable use
Use Answerline for personal, non-commercial practice. Do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, and do not use it to send unsolicited messages or to collect other people’s information.
No warranty
Answerline is provided “as is” during the beta, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that every clue is error-free or that the service will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the beta.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product develops. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Questions about these terms? Email answerline.daily@gmail.com.
